Shop locallyBuy local produce where possible
If you buy from your local shops and markets etc you are helping to keep your money in your community
Buy locally produced goods where possible
Especially food. Remember the closer something is produced to you means less fossil fuel is used to bring it to you, and hence less climate change will be caused. Again, this keeps money in your local community and keeps the people around you employed. A local community where everyone is employed and knows each other is a safe community.
Do you really want to buy the same things that everyone else does? So why do you go to the shopping malls? There are countless small manufacturers and producers near to you or not very far away. So why not search around in the nooks and crannies of retailing for something more local and unique?
Bying cheap is not good for the planet and is certainly not good for humans. There is a good chance that your globally produced and environmentally damaging shipped bargain not only costs our future generations dearly but is probably the result of underpaid workers or child labour.
Are you happy to exploit other human beings?
Stop unnecessary trade which wastes carbon based fuel and causes global climate change. Buy products from further afield when they help the understanding and exchange between cultures and where the people producing or growing the goods are well paid.
